Montreal, Canada – Startups, small and medium-sized businesses looking to navigate the complex world of intellectual property (IP) won’t want to miss FORPIQ 2023 on May 10th 2023. The event, under the theme “Driving Innovation Forward,” will cover a range of topics, including maximizing IP value for startups and SMBs, empowering Canada’s innovation ecosystem, and the future of IP in the digital world.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from leaders in the field of IP and explore the latest trends in IP programs, clean tech, technology transfer, indigenous innovation, artificial intelligence, and digital asset management. The conference aims to help participants, including business owners, entrepreneurs, investors, researchers and others with varying levels of IP awareness increase the value of their technology and IP. 

The event is open to all and will be conducted in both French and English. Patents incentivize innovation by giving owners exclusive rights to control the usage of their processes and technologies. Trademarks allow business owners to protect their unique branding, helping them distinguish their products and services in the marketplace and profit from their good reputation. Industrial designs protect the unique aesthetic features of products, which can give them a competitive edge in the marketplace. Enhancing Canadians’ use of IP rights both domestically and abroad is critical for success in an economy increasingly driven by intangible assets.”
